Grim realisation

October 4, 2012

Little Tut (a national of Ancient Egypt) was having a rather lousy day.
He had only just found out that he was an adopted child.
It seemed that his real father had been a hopeless alcoholic, who drank himself to death before Tut was even born. His real mother, though, was very much alive, but was a man now – she had undergone a sex change operation not too long ago.
‘Great. That’s just great’, muttered Little Tut under his breath. ‘So my real daddy is mummified, and my real mummy is daddified.’
